Prerequisites
Mandatory Requirement: Customers must have knowledge of or have taken the Gigamon Foundations I: Insight into Network Data Across Your Network (GFD1) course before they take this one-day follow-on course.
Before attending a Gigamon Foundations course, you should also understand the following:
- Data security protection and prevention fundamentals
- Fundamentals of route switch technologies

- The different GigaSMART traffic intelligence features and how they support and enhance monitoring and security solutions

The Gigamon Visibility and Analytics Fabric is an essential element in any monitoring or security strategy. The Gigamon Foundations II course extends basic knowledge about how to implement and configure GigaVUE® platforms to include features that off-load CPU intensive tasks or otherwise streamline traffic ingestion by tools.
Through comprehensive discussions, real-world use cases and practical hands-on labs, this course reviews additional foundational features needed by security and network teams to configure Gigamon appliances and features in support of organizational objectives.
