Course Overview
This course introduces Chef. Chef is a configuration management tool written in Ruby that allows organizations to streamline the deployment of computer systems. Chef is designed to allow IT staff to automate the installation and configuration of their systems in software, replacing manual effort almost entirely.

Prerequisites
Some familiarity with Unix or a Unix-like operating system is suggested. Familiarity with computer systems administration in general. Knowledge of the Ruby programming language is suggested but is not required.
