Fast Lane Partners with
Maidenhead United

and the Magpies in the Community

Fast Lane is proud to announce our partnership with Maidenhead United Football Club as the Community Sponsor for Women’s Football at the club for both the first team and development squads as well as supporting & playing an active role in their One Community Club for women’s wellbeing and hardship initiatives regardless of gender.

One Community Club is a new community programme established by the Maidenhead United FC Community Trust to provide opportunities for local people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to engage with Maidenhead United Football Club and take part in activities that improve their health and wellbeing.

As a part of Fast Lane’s 'Give Something Back’ strategy, we will be looking to support Maidenhead United in providing a clear pathway for the junior girls to progress into the women’s first team. There will be a strong focus on growing the participation of girls and women playing football and the development of women’s coaches. As such, we aim to play a proactive role in supporting the club’s “Women in Football” promotional event days throughout 2023 and beyond.

Fast Lane will also be looking to support Maidenhead’s Hardship initiative, which enables all genders within the local community to have the opportunity to play football and be involved with the club

Andy Turner, Managing Director, Fast Lane: “As a local business, we here at Fast Lane are strong believers in having a “Give Something Back” strategy and we are proud to sponsor and support the great work MUFC are doing in the local community. Over the past few years, we have collaborated with some of the leading Global IT vendors on Women in Technology programs, which focus on the creation of new opportunities for women to learn, connect and develop their careers in technology. Therefore, this partnership with Maidenhead United focussing on women’s wellbeing and the growing participation of women and girls in football seems like a perfect fit for us.

This obviously is an exciting time for the club as they look to relocate from their historic ground at York Road to nearby Braywick, where a new state-of-the-art community stadium and wellbeing centre will be built.

I am also delighted Fast Lane will be supporting the One Community Club hardship initiatives providing those less financially able to become involved with the club and the great sport of football at this time.”

Tanya Davis-Hussain (Head of Women’s Football at Maidenhead United) has added: “We are so thankful to Fast Lane for their support, building the bridge between our Grassroots, Development and Women’s 1st team is so important to us here at Maidenhead United as well as getting more females into coaching & roles in the club. We are strong believers in football for all, especially with the current economic climate we are finding it's sadly becoming out of reach for some, so with Fast Lane’s support we can get as many kids playing the game we all love as possible.”

Sian Lancaster (Commercial Partnership Manager) has added: “The partnership with Fast Lane will allow us to make a positive difference and not only develop the pathway for women and girls football but support all members of our community by ensuring they remain connected to one another, offer innovative and exciting programmes using football and other sports as a tool to motivate and inspire individuals and local communities to improve physical and emotional health and wellbeing.

We look forward to working with Fast Lane, who share the same core values as we have in giving back and supporting the community.”
