Fast Lane Easter Harvest for FOODSHARE Maidenhead

Maidenhead, 23rd March 2016 – Following on from raising over £6,300 pounds for Action for Children last year (#ByteNight) Fast Lane employees have been collecting food supplies to make a donation towards a fantastic local charity - FOODSHARE Maidenhead.

FOODSHARE provide a vital support line to help those struggling day to day in poverty, people and families in and around Maidenhead who cannot afford to feed themselves appropriately.
On Monday evenings, Wednesday mornings, Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings FOODSHARE distribute food supplies to over 100 families locally, those that are unable to afford a proper meal for themselves or their children.

James Dixon, Marketing Manager for Fast Lane who is heading up the food donation to FOODSHARE says, “It only seems right we look to help local families that are struggling to make ends meet with basic necessities such as food, something most of us take for granted. FOODSHARE do a fantastic job and we are delighted to help with a food supply this Easter, and I’m sure we will continue to make donations throughout the year and into the future.”

He goes on to say “The team at Fast Lane have been great and always get behind these sort of things, and making a donation to FOODSHARE seemed to fit in nicely with our efforts at Byte Night last year.”
