Conducting a Cisco Unified Wireless Site Survey… it’s all about Location, Location, Location!

The first step in any wireless LAN (WLAN) deployment is to ensure it begins with a site survey, to assess the Radio Frequency (RF) behaviour in a specific environment. Many issues can arise in a wireless network due to poor planning and coverage and this is a crucial step to ensure optimum performance – or the results could be the same as subscribing to the full sports and entertainment multimedia package and placing your satellite dish in the wrong place!

Rumour has it that in certain instances, site surveys are not performed properly, or are missed out completely, and avoiding this vital stage could cost you dearly on performance within your network.
