Designing Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Solutions v2.0 (DMPS)

The sponsoring organization must hold a Cisco Unified Communications Specialized Certification before prospective students can enroll in this course.

Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:

• Assess the features, capacities, and requirements of the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace architecture and design as they relate to planning a comprehensive customer Cisco Unified MeetingPlace deployment
• Identify and evaluate customer application, IP telephony infrastructure, and end-user and conferencing requirements to consider when planning a Cisco Unified MeetingPlace deployment
• Design a highly available, comprehensive Cisco Unified MeetingPlace deployment plan, given specific customer environments and requirements to determine which Cisco Unified MeetingPlace release and options should be incorporated into the design

DMPS is an extended hours, three day, instructor-led technical course that reviews and enforces the system architecture of both Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 7.0 and Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8.0, and shows how those components integrate into an enterprise network. Migration design for installed base systems to move to latest versions is also considered. Use of the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Configuration Tool and other tools in case studies and design scenarios will be emphasized to create solutions that meet common customer Cisco Unified MeetingPlace deployment requirements.
