Course Objectives

Familiarize yourself with the various methods that are available today to determine location positioning.

Describe the components, features, and functionality of the Cisco Location Appliance solution.
|

Integrate the Location Appliance with the Wireless Control System (WCS) to provide a platform capable of location tracking.

Identify the different types of location tags and understand what types can be used with the Cisco Location Solution.

 |
Configure the administrative aspects of the Location Appliance.
|
 |
Set polling parameters with an understanding of the storage ramifications and disk usage on the Location Appliance.
|
 |
Identify the unique deployment requirements for implementing Location Based Services and implement a best practices approach to the design and deployment of such a wireless network.

 |
Perform a calibration and identify situations when a re-calibration may be necessary.
|
 |
Familiarize yourself with partner applications that integrate with the Cisco Location Appliance using the Location Appliance API. |
Course Content
| Cisco Wireless Location Based Services (CWLBS) is an instructor-led course, training partners to their end-user customers. This training session is a three-day instructor-led technical course that provides an in-depth understanding of the Location Appliance and its use to implement Location Based Services. This course focuses on key system components, including terminology, features, architecture and protocol functionality. You will gain hands on experience planning, deploying and tuning a wireless infrastructure capable of providing Location Based Services. |
