Torsten Poels is the new VP and General Manager Europe of Fast Lane
Hamburg, April 2003 -- Torsten Poels (40) is the new VP and General Manager Europe of Fast Lane. He is responsible for the activities of the Cisco Learning Solutions Partner in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Fast Lane offers support to corporations in all aspects of their information and communication infrastructures, as well as certification.
"We are very pleased to have Torsten Poels on our team. With his combination of management experience, knowledge of the branch, technical know-how, and familiarity with the market, he was our first-choice candidate for this position," said Josef Miskulnig, President of Fast Lane.
Torsten Poels studied information technology and was among the first high-end trainers in Germany. He has been in leading positions, including entrepreneur, consultant, marketing and sales manager, and CEO, in the IT branch for 17 years. Torsten Poels was Chairman of the Board of a publishing house in Berlin and established international partnerships. Prior to this, he led two Cisco Learning Partners in Germany and developed both of them into market leaders in the IT-training industry. He has also worked for such companies as Siemens, Philips, and Deutsche Telekom (among others).
In his present position, Torsten Poels will concentrate on developing Fast Lane in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and on building up strategic relationships with partners and customers.
