Fast Lane selected to rollout Cisco Advanced Technology Programme across Europe

ATP Programme FAQs
1. What is the ATP Programme?
The objective of the Cisco Advanced Technology Provider (ATP) Programme is to bring emerging technologies to market through Cisco Channel Partners. ATP offerings help define the necessary knowledge and skills to bring emerging technologies to market and also provide a program that supports the services required for a particular technology. As a particular technology progresses along the adoption curve and becomes more standardised, it can evolve into a Specialisation.
2. How are Specialisations different from ATPs?
ATP Partners must already possess acceptable job/industry/market credentials in the ATP focused technology which makes the ATP Programme extremely restrictive. This restriction allows Cisco ATP Partners to gain early entry into an emerging market of new or low-volume technologies. These partners are required to provide post-sales end-to-end support, because often Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) support is still being defined. Because the programme is not open to all Cisco partners, it does not offer points toward a Cisco Certification. Specialisations, on the other hand, are focused on more established technologies and are open to any partner who meets the minimum role requirements. Additionally, partners can provide their own post-sales support or resell Cisco SMARTnet® contracts. All Cisco Specialised Partners receive points toward their Cisco Certification.
3. What are the benefits of participating in the Cisco ATP Program?
The Cisco ATP designation enhances the value of a partner company and provides partners the opportunity to enter into new markets. Partner expertise in various technology areas also enables differentiation from competitors and increased credibility with customers. Once Cisco ATP Partners complete all programme requirements, they are listed in the Cisco Partner Locator.
4. Will my partner(s) receive Certification points for participating in ATPs?
No. Since ATP Partners must already possess acceptable job/industry/market credentials in the ATP focused technology, the ATP Programme is extremely restrictive. Because all partners could not meet the programme requirements, ATP offerings do not enable partners to earn points toward Certification under the Cisco Channel Partner Programme.
5. Where do I find out more about the Cisco ATP Programme?
Advanced Technology Provider Programme
Fast Lane have been selected by Cisco to aid in the European rollout of the Emerging Technologies programme by delivering Advanced Technology training to pre-selected Channel Partners participating in the Advanced Technology Provider (ATP) Programme.
The main objective of the ATP Programme is to effectively and successfully bring a new technology, or technological development, to the marketplace. In order to do this technologies have to be introduced into live environments, often for the very first time, and implementations can encounter unpredictable issues! Cisco therefore elects only the most effective best practice Channel Partners to achieve such complex tasks.
Prior to a Channel Partner taking an advanced technology to market they must meet predefined criteria set by Cisco. The majority of these requirements are Technical and Sales Training based around Cisco's Lifecycle Services: Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, Optimise (PPDIOO).
Fast Lane work closely with Cisco, gaining the relevant knowledge of these new technologies before imparting these skills to the selected ATP Partners, through Instructor Led Training.
